IT Support Technician LV 1

The Opportunity

We are looking for a technician with real-world IT support experience who is comfortable troubleshooting independently, working directly with end users, and managing multiple client environments.

This role is best suited for someone who has previously worked in an MSP, internal IT department, or technical support environment and can demonstrate practical technical knowledge beyond classroom or lab experience.

Hours: 30–40 hours per week
Wage: $22–$25 per hour

Areas of Focus
Responsibilities
  • Candidates should be able to demonstrate practical troubleshooting ability
  • Work within documented processes and escalation procedures
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and client communication
  • Perform remote and on-site tech support
  • Manage multiple support requests while maintaining professionalism and response expectations
  • Participate in on-site deployments, workstation setups, and infrastructure support as required
  • Other duties as needed to support clients and team objectives
Requirements
  • Proven hands-on experience working in an IT support, MSP, or technical service environment is required
  • Candidates should be able to demonstrate practical troubleshooting ability across Windows environments, Microsoft 365, hardware, networking, and end-user support
  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology or Computer Science is considered an asset but is not required for candidates with relevant experience
  • Valid Ontario G-Class driver’s licence and reliable access to a vehicle required
  • Ability to travel to client sites throughout London and the surrounding areas as required
Technical Experience
  • Windows 10/11 administration and troubleshooting
  • Microsoft 365 administration and support
  • Networking concepts, including DHCP, DNS, VPN, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting
  • Workstation deployment and hardware diagnostics
  • Remote support tools and ticketing systems
  • User account management and permissions
  • Understanding of cyber security best practices
Security Requirements (As Required)
  • Level 2 – Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC)
  • Level 3 – Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
  • RCMP’s Canadian Criminal Real Time Identification Services (CCRTIS) certified criminal record checks
  • Security clearance checks may be required depending on client contracts and level of access. Candidates will be informed if applicable.
